C’est dans des Enfers aux multiples visages que Raphaël Pichon a invité, pour son premier enregistrement chez harmonia mundi, le baryton Stéphane Degout à incarner le célèbre tragédien de Rameau et de Gluck (Henri Larrivée). Autour de la reconstitution imaginaire d’une messe des morts, sacré et profane se confondent, révélant quelques-unes des plus extraordinaires pages du répertoire lyrique des Lumières. Une épopée funèbre qui inspire Pygmalion autant qu’elle nous bouleverse.
