Akhlys (pronounced AHK-lees) is an American oneiric black metal band known for creating intense, nightmarish soundscapes that blend extreme black metal with dark ambient elements, exploring themes of dreams, occultism, and psychological horror.

Akhlys is the Greek primordial spirit and personification of the death-mist, misery, and sorrow, and possibly also the goddess of deadly poisons.
